departments in California, I decided to leave public service and start my own
investigations company in 2002. Since then, we have garnered the respect of
clients and defense attorneys representing the interests of employers, insurance companies, and self-insureds throughout California. Pier
Investigations is a full service insurance investigations business. We have a
clear understanding of what it takes to provide information to our clients for
the mitigation of claims.
At Pier Investigations, we employ highly knowledgeable
investigators who have significant experience in the areas of workers’
compensation, fraud detection, automobile, and general liability investigative
services statewide. There are no
entry-level investigators working for Pier Investigations. I have personally
hand picked only investigators with prior experience in the insurance industry
or law enforcement community.
Our investigators focus on obtaining all necessary
information in order to determine compensability and liability. It has been our
experience that providing AOE/COE, subrogation, apportionment, and liability
investigations to our clients accentuates a higher level of identifying
potentially fraudulent/abusive claims.
We use state of the art digital recording and photography devices as
well as digital video when conducting investigations. All media obtained during
the investigation can be provided in multiple formats depending on the client’s
preference.
